How would one go about defining a minimum post length?

I think that you need to be more specific.

Comment is a bit vague.  Are you referring to posts on your forum, or some kind of additional feature or mod which allows the members of your forum to make comments on content of some kind?

Yes K, I want to stop members making short replies like  thanks, ok etc.

That might be tricky, because most smiley codes are quite short, too.

That apart, this shouldn't be too tricky for a coder to do, for you. I suspect it'll be like the max thing, only changed for "min".

As this isn't really, a support thing, more a "Coding" thing, I'll move this to the coding board, coz you should get better help, there.

One would assume that to mean ALL posts.
