I want to show last created topic on the main page of my forum. Which function or mod should I use for this task?

That already shows at the bottom of the forum in the info-center.

Or maybe you have a portal for the front page?
If so, then use the recent topics portal block and set the number to "1"

I have SMF 2.0.4 with default Curve theme. I see in the bottom of the start page only "Last Message" link.
