Display unread post count per forum on board index.

Hello everyone. I've been looking for a way to do a little change in my forum.
I would like to add in the board index a column showing the amount of "unread posts" per board, is this feasible?
i would like it to replace the column in which now is shown the "read/unread topics" section (screenshot)

Interesting idea, or perhaps a tooltip that appears displaying the numbers when you hover your mouse over the image.

it would be resource intensive to calculate and display that number for each board on the board index...

Cool idea for sure but I might be wrong on this and I hope so.

I'm thinking this would put lots of request calls.

uhm.. could be.. I think you're right.. is not very efficient to do it...

Just saw your post in my old thread. Yes, I got it to work. I don't have the code anymore, that site is long gone and I ended up removing the feature shortly after I added it. Unfortunately, at least on my server, it significantly increased page load times more than it was worth. Sorry!
