no way to convert from 1.1.18 to 2

Hi all, i tried several times to convert from 1.1.18 to 2.04 but no way, i always get an unknown error while doing the upgrade

Executing upgrade script 1 of 2.
Executing: "Updating and creating indexes..." (1 of 19 - of this script).

I uninstalled all plug in and set English as the default language (default theme too).

The server is a FreeBSD 6.4-STABLE #0: Wed Aug 12 09:46:40 CEST 2009

Have you checked your system and SMF error logs to see if you're timing out (taking too long) for the upgrade process? If you are, you may need to consult with your host about temporarily increasing the time limit, or even removing it while you do the upgrade.

The SMF developers really need to look at splitting up the process into a number of small steps, that will get in under most reasonable process time limits. Keep track of what steps have been done already, and skip ahead to the first incomplete one.
