HOW to set a different image next to each categoty?

I like the default theme a lot. It works just fine for me. Only thing I'd like to change is the opportunity to set a different image just before the off.gif/on.gif  buttons on each category that I set. This in the index page.
Can I do this somehow? Thank's

That mod should work with SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public.  Not sure if it works with RC1.

Ops that mod is for the image for the boards.

Is there anything for the categories?

You could always use html for your category title to define an image instead of using simple text..

It's not a mod. It's just adding some basic html-code to the board- or category title. If you, for example, go to Admin -> Boards and choose to modify a board or category, entering this in the titlefield

<img src="Themes/default/images/english/home.gif" border="0" />

will show the homebutton as the title.
