I'm having a hard time with the java drop down menu coloring... I'll attach a screen shot of whats happening.

Basically the first cell if great but the drop down does not take the same settings so I am wondering where I need to edit this.

Arantor

You already targeted the select, just target select option with the styling you want there for all the options.

Fantastic!!!!  Select option!!!  Brilliant!!

Now for a harder one?? Well at least for me. It seems now matter what I do. (besides recode the messageindex.template) I cannot get rid of these borders!!  It seems like its an issue with tables being doubled up or something strange. I'll attach a screen shot here as well.

What I have done:

1) Removed border attribute from css coding (doesn't fix it)
2) Made new .css for these particular areas (fixes it but board description area is no longer styled)

This has been a pretty frustrating part of attempting this theme. Boardindex is also effected but I haven't tried to do anything major with that yet.

In Curve, .table_frame .table_list td.stats defines a border, but other than that, take a look at ensuring border-spacing is set to 0, that cells aren't defining borders themselves and that kind of thing.

Ok I'll keep looking. Removed just about all of the borders in the css at this point. Just really seems like the "tabled" sections of the theme are really "messy" code. The way the images I am using "stack" on eachother is kind of leading me to think its more a table issue than a css issue at this point.

I just need a break from it for a little while and I'll come back at it when I'm feeling less cluttered in my head.

Thanks!!!

Ok its definitely a table issue... Any chance with the facelift of 2.1 the tables in that version will be gone? Like all of them? So hard to style in .css with tables screwing it all up. LOL!!!

Arantor

There's pretty much zero chance of that simply because for the most part it is actually tabular data being handled...

Well perhaps a dedicated css call then unlike the shared calls it currently uses in 2.0.6 ??

Just a thought... Would just make styling easier since the tables do require some special treatment especially where borders are involved. I had to remove borders completely to gain the look I wanted but the tables in some areas refuse to use the css styling I have defined. Not a huge deal but a pain in the rear none the less.

Either way I am just happy to know the cause. I can re-write the css and calls myself but I was just thinking for general flexibility is all.

Thanks for reading! I'm gonna mark this solved now. :-)

The CSS is already bigger and uglier in 2.1 than it ever was in 2.0 :(

Oh dear.... LOL!!!

Well I'll wait on beta release before I try to mess with 2.1 themes.. I'll look at what I got now though. Lots of updates I don't have but I'll get the gist I am sure.
