Spammer Exclusions

I was just hit by some spammers on my forum.  I've changed the registration to email verify and also users have first 10 posts approved before can do more.  Is there a way to stop spam bots from viewing any part of my forum so it doesn't effect stats?  It's become very inflated.  Or is there a way to exclude guest views on boards, etc. altogether?

Spamming forums is like bullying, however, theres a big difference, when you spam forums, some people intend to abuse their forum privileges without realizing.

Now, there is a mod that can stop forum spam.

And that mod is called "Stop Forum Spam!"

Yes, and it is already mentioned in the link I provided, including some alternatives that can do a better job.

personally, I prefer the one called Stop Spammer instead of Stop Forum Spam.

However, both of them have an issue that they use the SFS database which has TONS of false positives.

You guys have given me some great options and I've gotten the spam under control.  59k attacks in the one day, but we're golden now.  Thanks!
