Help wanted with frontpage coding

Please how do i create an extra table in my _SMF database with title,  link fields and also feature images so i can feature specific forum post on my FrontPage with images  then create a simple insert application that will give you form to submit the topic title and link.

You don't need extra db tables for front page coding, you need to use required Source files & Template files to do so. But I suggest you to use one of the portal modifications or custom home page mod.

This saves lots of time and resource. Also you can check SSI if you need extra bit info about pulling data from forum.
