So I have returned to using SMF after a while. I am currently have a little bit of trouble here. I currently setup "Regular User" the default rank you get when registering to require all created threads be approved by a moderator. Is there any way I can limit this to specifically just one forum board?

I am attempting to create a forum board be basically private. When a user creates a thread in this board it is visible only to themselves and any moderators of the board. My only issue is that the only permission I can find is:  "Post new topics, but hide until approved" how ever I want this to only apply to one specific forum board, the rest do not require this option.

Any ideas?

Hey bud!

Ok I just saw "permissions profile" and that looks exactly what I need, but I've never done that. Where do I go to create a permissions profile?

Scratch that, just found it. Let's see if I can do this right.

Solution found, ty for the help! (Also I think this fixes what I was trying to do in the other thread. Assuming CFM doesn't bypass the whole Moderated thing.)

Except it probably does.

You are correct, it does. I'm going to mark this thread as solved, and continue this convo in the other thread.

One thing I've done over the years is create a separate test forum on the server to play with settings you may not be familiar with. Just make yourself Admin and create test accounts as regular members to test your settings.

Sometimes it prevents you from making embarrassing mistakes on your "real" forum.  :)
