Hyperlink

Having trouble using hyperlink button. Ex. I want the word Google to be a link to hxxp:google.com [nonactive].

But when I highlight the word Google and click the hyperlink button, then type the URL after the word Google it comes out as:

hxxp:Googlehttp://google.com

There is definitely something I'm not doing right, anybody know what it is?
