Inline attachment doesnot work with WYSI editor 

How to allow the inline attachment work with the default WYSI editor???

I  have used the following inline attachment mod:

Please note that the above mod author is no more online and so please don't not reply to contact the respective author.

bbcode works with the WYSIWYG editor in 2.0.

But honestly, don't get too attached to it (pun not intended), the WYSIWYG editor was totally replaced in 2.1 with one that is far, far, far, far, far less buggy.

Actually i am not able to add the inline attachment to the post if i enable the WYSI editor.

so in that case either i have to disable one of the mod.But i want the inline attachment with WYSI editor.

When ever i try to insert the inline attachment (when WYSI editor is enable), nothing happen and if then disable the editor form smf forum post and topic options then it appear.

so how to make it work with the WYSI editor?

You have three choices.

1) Give up, because it isn't going to work out.

2) Hope someone is going to bother to *rewrite it from scratch* because it can't be taken over without permission from the author (who, as you pointed out, has been absent)

3) Pay someone to make it work.

And when 2.1 comes out, any mod you do have will be useless to you anyway because the WYSIWYG editor has been completely changed.

You mean i have to wait for the Version 2.1.When it will be released.My version is 2.0.5 and i dnt mind to wait.Please note that i am really not happy with the WYSI editor of the smf forum.We really lack this features.Even many mod are not compatiable with the same.

In the past i have used simple image upload, but it doesnot work with WYSI editor too.

Do this problem will be solved in next version?
do we will get a better WYSI editor or HTML editor (prefered).

I dnt mind to wait....Because my forum is still new and i am just on the way of restructing my forum.I can wait for the for 2.1.But can you tell me what will be probable date of smf forum 2.1

It'll be when it's done, not before, and there still won't be a mod (because this won't be in the core anyway) so you'll just have to wait even longer.

i don't mind to wait longer. till then i will used the bb code with my inline attachment.Just hope that my problem get solved with the version 2.1.

Um, that's not what I said.

2.1 will break the mod even more, guaranteed. No-one is likely going to write a new mod from scratch for this. Good luck with the waiting, you'll likely be waiting a while
