Is this possible?  It'd be convenient for say a {discussbot} to link to a News Discussion board.  Guests are allowed to post in this board and this board only.

when creating the board, it asks you which groups do have permission to this board.
you will select guests, and they will be able to post there.

You can set local permissions for that board. Allow guest posting locally. Its in permission area in admin panel.

I see      Normal     No polls     Reply only     Read only

(under "Permissions by board")

A, those are standard options. Go to Admin -> Permssions -> Settings and check "Enable advanced by-board permission"
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

EUREKA! thanks.

I saw the description that says "Using local permissions means that for that board, you can set every permission for every membergroup."  but couldn't see the local permissions.... was beginning to go insane, you saved me just in time  >:(

Cheers!
