Changing Menu Font color and Profile font color separately?

Ok, I've spent the past hour wrestling with this, searching for answers (probably using the wrong terminology), but I think it's fair to just give up and ask:

I've been tweaking the Curve theme with custom graphics and had to change the Menu button fonts to #FFFFFF to make them visible. Unfortunately, now the buttons in the Profile tab are white as well. How can I change them to Black without changing the menu buttons?

Also, I've been trying to find where to change the background of the main content area. Not the forum background, but the general area between the menu bar and footer bar.

:facepalm:

It's not just the profile page, it's Admin, Moderate, and Messaging as well.

So, the question's changed a bit: How do I set the colors for tabs in those places separate from the Menu?

No one's got any idea? I could really use some help here, please. The theme's ready to go as soon as I get this issue fixed, and the members are starting to get really sick of Curve.

you know we are all volunteers? with you bumping your thread 3 times in 2 hours does not exactly want us to help you as you seem to be very impatient.

I know you are, and I truly appreciate your work, but I am kinda impatient. I've been banging my head against the wall with this one problem for three hours now, and it's driving me crazy. I know there's some simple little thing that I can do to fix it, but I don't know what that is. Frustrating.

If you're referring to the link colors in the dropmenus -

/css/index.css -

.dropmenu a
{
display: block;
color: #ff0000;
text-decoration: none;
}

.dropmenu li li a:link
{
color: #00ff00;
}
.dropmenu li li a:visited
{
color: #00ff00;
}

When in Emor, do as the Snamors.

Thank you, bu I wish it were that easy.

No, I've got the drop-down text and the first levels separated. The problem I'm having is separating the first levels for the Menu bar and the first levels of other pages. Here's what I mean:

As you can see the text in the menu bar is white, as are the first levels on the Profile page. The problem is the background is very close to white, so they just disappear. I temporarily solved it by putting in that horrible copper-colored bar, but I'd really prefer to have the inactive buttons black.

Use #admin_menu as a higher level selector, e.g. .dropmenu for the top menu but #admin_menu .dropmenu for the profile/admin/moderate menus specifically.
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.
