Dev: Help Request

Hello everyone,

I am a designer and I am by no means a talented programmer, I use Adobe Muse for most of my basic design needs. It has allowed me to design and let the program do all the HTML, CSS etc.

www.pdxgaming.net this is what I have so far.

I was curious if anyone out there would be nice enough to help me display latest posts from a specific forum id on my index.html? If not that's fine, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I've been all over the web trying to figure this out and I've made ZERO progress.

Since you are using SP, I would bet that there is a block there ready for doing exactly that

a few things...

index.html won't work. it would have to be index.php

if you mean on the forum front page that you have using a portal... then do what margarett says... there is a recent posts block alreayd pre-built for simpleportal.

if you mean a different page, outside the forum, then you would need to use SSI.php. There are examples and definitions of that in the Wiki as well as well as your own site in ssi_examples.php
