Feasibility of converting from non-standard discussion board

Hi everyone I frequent a board

that doesnt seem to be a standard IPB/VB/PHPBB etc forum.   It has the simple features of posts, replies, members, private messages, avatars, and that is all that would be converted.  Any idea of how feasible this is, what level of knowledge the converter should have/hire?

Is this a forum standard that I just don't recognize? I think it's home-brew.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Saleem,

If there's someone with PHP or database (MySQL) knowledge in your forum, he/she should be able convert the database, provided that the current forum is also using MySQL database.

If the data is stored in a flat text file, it will require more effort to write a converter.

First thing's first, you should check what kind of database it uses. Looking at the forum, it seems to be written in JSP.
