Register to Specific Usergroups

Hello,

I have different types of people that come to my board for different things (i.e. I have Christians for one, Star Wars fans for another, etc).  Is there a way to have it setup that the user can select from a list of specific usergroups at registration.  This way, the Star Wars fans will only see the Star Wars stuff, and the Christians will see only the Christian stuff, etc.  I ask because having to manually move them after they register can become quite time consuming.
