Remove Re From Post Title In Display Page
Created by ahrasis
For SMF 1.1.x and SMF 2.x

On default, every reply to a post will have a Re: in its post title in display page.

This mod simply remove that at its best and will apply to all default user languages.

As a wise man says: Prepare for the whether before it changes.

So, it's advisable to always do a backup before you run any mod.

Thank you for using it.

Yours friendly,
Abu Fahim Ismail.

Gonna use it.

Does it affect all posts before installing?

There is a mod that remove Re from Board Index & Message Index. Do get it from here: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2172

And you seems like you already answered your own question.

NanoSector

Thanks for the link and I should not ask questions before installing the mod :P

Anyone know how to get rid of the whole subject instead of just "Re:" ???

Hj Ahmad Rasyid Hj Ismail

Remove the whole subject line from Display.template.php.

DO NOT pm me for support!

I read that and I'd still say it's theming things. You just need to modify Display.template.php. But you will still be needing the message id for inline / quick modify and others. In my older theme, I move that to reply number (ElkArte also does the same. But SMF 2.1 move it to time/date instead).
