Need a little help..

Ok I did a little extra group thing on my forum and I'm trying to create an admin page for it so that I will not have to goto mysql everytime to add a member. What I'm trying to do is make an input box that I can add a member's name and when I click submit, It changes that member's sql row from 0 to 1. It might not be too clear, but is this possible?

and when i place, say my display name (.diplomat) in that input, it makes me 1.
