Yet More Problems - Database Error @ Registration

Sorry to keep posting up guys. I just seem to have a continual list of errors Since moving server. I noticed to day that my site had no new members since early December 2014. When I checked out registration with help of friends I find its throwing up errors.

Check your admin error log in SMF it should give you better details.

It says there are no errors in the log, which Im finding hard to believe ?? That sounds like an error in itself. Have you any ideas whats going wrong ?

I got to the form to fill in. But, I dunno what sharp metal thing rhymes with "Duck". So, I couldn't get any further.

Go to Admin>Packages>File permissions.

Try setting that to the standard profile and see what happens.

Ok Ive run into problems with trying to change that setting. My site times out. Could this be because I use sftp on ssh login ?? Is there any changes I can make through ftp instead ??

i am not really sure what difference to your error changing file permissions would do.

what mods do you have installed? do you have the error log enabled?

Ugh! Dunno, mate. Never used sftp.

According to this:

You set your directory permissions to 755. This means that the directory owner can read, write, and execute, while group and world can read and execute (use) the directory.
You set your file permissions to 644. This means that the file owner can read and write (edit) the file, while everyone else can only read it.

I'm thinking that, if a file's read-protected, the thing won't work.

But, as someone obviously thinks I'm wrong, I'll butt out.

Ive uninstalled tapatalk but still regestration doesnt work.

What about the server's error-log?

My server man says there is nothing in the server log. Is there anything else I can do ??
