Even though I am logged into the forum, when I click "Install Mod" it gives me this error:

I am the admin and logged in 100% of the time. Using Firefox. Is there a reason it is doing this, and a solution?

Please do not bump a topic in the first 24 hours. Especially as you have your own thread about it.

One of our volunteer tech support wizards will help as soon as they can.
DO NOT pm me for support!

Illori

wizards? we are not wizards ;)

maybe a mod security issue? http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Mod_security_-_Having_problems_with_mod_security cant hurt to ask your host to disable it if they are running it.

This did not work for me either.

And Sommer, this is my post for assistance, maybe you should use yours so you can get help specific to you.

Illori

did you ask your host if mod_security is enabled? most of the time they dont let users disable it.

sommarpojken

i fixed it! I did just change the Dns ip! maybe works for you too?

Sigyn

I have not fixed this yet and still need assistance. I cannot install the 2.0.11 Update because of this issue.

sommarpojken

Did you change your DNS ip? Mail your web host and ask what you should switch to.

You change it where you have your Web control.

Ask you webhost if they can help you and tell them what the problem is!

John E:
Loops, hmm. I would assume based on what I'm hearing is either the files that handles installs (sounds like this) is messed up or not synced with your login. Or that your login doesn't have permission to install packages.

That was what my host said. There was no issue with the DNS IPs but he flushed the data anyway and I'm still having the issue. I could use the help of a tech moderator, please.

Can you PM me an admin login?

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

I created and uploaded the file (I think...) but I'm not sure what it means by calling it up once I have it there. Can you please enlighten me?

margarett

Please give us the link to it. We need to look at it, don't worry there is no sensitive information in it ;)
