Create a database for SMF

I can not install SMF because I can not create the database could someone send me a clean database with only one user so that the load on my MySQL database .

3.Create a database
Now, before you can install SMF, you'll need a database to store all of your forum's information in, and a database user. The database is what stores all of your members, posts, settings and all that kind of stuff. The database user is how SMF will log into the database to get to all that information. From your host control panel, use the database management system to create a database. If your host doesn't automatically create a database user, create one now that has permissions to SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, CREATE, ALTER, DROP, and INDEX. Make a note of the database URL, database name, user (login) name and password, so you can tell SMF all about it later. If you have any problems doing this, contact your host for help.

if you dont know how to create the database, contact your host and they can help you create the database.

i would not trust anyone to send you a database as they may include other users or a way they could gain admin access to your forum.

besides... even with someone else creating the database -- if you don't have the correct connection information, it won't do you any good.

As Illori says: Contact your host for help with getting the correct connection information to create/access the database.

you need to have a database user which has FULL ACCESS the database -- including CREATE.

Talk to your host on how to set that up.

ah... I also just realized that I misread the error...

you need to CREATE an EMPTY database first....  no tables, no data... just a database.

THEN you can run the installer with the data for the database and database user...   and it will create the tables and necessary data.

that looks like phpmyadmin, which looks to be creating a table in an existing database.

as we have said several times, the op has to contact their host if they can not figure out how to create the database.

mario71, in order to create a database on your server to install SMF, you need to create a database user with the correct permissions. You may want to ask your host for help in doing this as some hosts have custom control panels to do it from.

I had a similar experience that might help... 

I had attempted to issue a CREATE DATABASE from within myPhpAdmin, just at the SQL prompt.  It appeared to work, but the database was completely inaccessible.   In fact, I still can't do anything with it.   

I found that I had to use the MySql Databases link on cPanel to create the database & user, not myPhpAdmin. 

Everything worked fine after that.  (My host is HostGator.)

That's how it works on most hosts.  If OP can't do it himself, there's nothing we can do here to help.

i dati da me inseriti erano corretti allora....
Il problema sapete quale era?
Ho chiamato il servizio assistenza di Aruba e mi ha risolto il problema,  i dati erano corretti è bastato cancellare i files temporanei di Google Crome con CRTL +H  , poi ho fatto l'installazione aprendo una scheda in incognito e tutto è andato a buon fine.
MA COSE DA PAZZI e chi poteva pensare che il problema era quello!
Grazie a tutti e spero che la mia esperienza serva per far perdere meno tempo ad altri!!!!
