How do you make a custom theme?

topic. I want to make it the deafault and not let users change their theme (yet) is there an easy way to do all of this? Im a noob to most stuff, i know hex code for colors but thats about all i know.

i made my theme, now i want to know how to do buttons. I thought that would go with the theme, but its just the CSS.

I also want to take out the SMF banner and change the color and center the name of my forum, but cant figure that stuff out. I tried putting code into the board name, but it didnt work.

The last thing i want to do is take out the images in the copy right and make the entire thing just one line, is that do able?

One more thing, i cant figure out what i did, but i cant figure out where i messed up. In the ADMIN CP, i can click on things like manage boards, then go to modify permissions, but then i cant read the text because it is the same color as my back ground... What did i change?
