How do you change colors?

How do i change the colors of the tables and different things?

I can get to this file but is the only way to change colors to go into the style.css file and change them by hand?

I have a way of doing it that seems to work. First make a copy of the default theme, call it whatever you want. This will be the style.css, index.php and indextemplate.php. Before you start your fiddling, create a 'Workshop' folder, database-backup folder and a 'Files backup' folder on your PC, backup your database by phpMyAdmin or whatever and your files by ftp. Open the style.css file and copy it to your workshop. You can then fiddle to your hearts content with the colours used and still have an untouched copy to upload if you mess up. To fiddle, make one change at a time and check out the effect via your browser, press Ctrl+F5 a couple of times to force a refresh from the server.
