Upgrade from 2.0.10 to 2.1 Issues

Hi there

I've successfully upgraded but I cannot login with my admin account or a regular member account either.

It either says I've reached my login attempts threshold or I click login and nothing happens...

Any thoughts anyone?

why are you upgrading to SMF 2.1? it is still in beta and should not be used on a live forum.

Sorry should have mentioned. I duplicated my live forum and upgraded the copy. So my live site is still on 2.0.10

then you need to use the version that is on github, it has many more fixes then what is on sm.org.

So do I overwrite all the smf 2.0.10 files with the new files from github?

Do I not need large upgrade files?

the files on github would be the same as the large upgrade files, except they are more updated/fixed.

really if you are not that technical you should not be playing with 2.1 as it may require some manual updates in the database or cause issues. it is in beta for a reason.
