Email Shrinked

I'm trying to send a newsletter to my members,

this newsletter is in html, and the code is about 900 lines of text.

When I send some test email with SMF the received mail is shrinked, the last 25% of the mail are not there, and some html code appear as text at the end of the mail.

I've tried with an other mail client and it work (I use my own SMTP server), the mail is complete.

I also tried to send and very long text email, and again the mail is shrinked with smf, and working with my roundcube client.

Is there a way to solve this problem?

But i don't think it comes from the code. Plain text mail with a lot of character are also shrinked.

Perhaps there is a character limit for mail like for post on the website?

When i send text, no matter what text i send, the mail stop at 65664 character.

there is a limit in the database of how large it can be especially if you  have the mail queue in enabled which you should.

maybe you should try to shorten the message. SMF news letter feature is really not meant for sending out such large html messages.

your max post size should not be 0, it should be a valid number. having it at 0 may make it not have the column set correctly, but i dont think that is related to your issue here.

ugh...   with all that "mso" crap in there I am betting that you got a template form something like mailchimp...

As Illori says, the newsletter feature in SMF is not really intended for huge HTML content like that.
As a matter of fact, about 90% of that HTML stuff could be eliminated and still display the newsletter as intended. That is so full of JUNK and duplicated code that it is basically all crap...

You defined color in the div...  and then redefined it in the span WITHOUT EVER ACTUALLY USING THE FIRST COLOR!

and why the heck are you putting tables within tables and divs within tables?  That is just a gods-awful mess of code.
(as I said probably some autogenerated template from MailChimp)

Learn to do some basic HTML layout and use clean basic HTML instead and you won't have issues.

Yep i use an automatic generator (beefree)

I'm not good at html and i'm learning.

Until i learned, i will user PHPlist to send my newsletter with all its crappy code.

That and the fact mail clients are years behind regular web browsers, tables are very common in email templates.

The mso stuff is for the most popular mail client, Outlook.

They *should* be unnecessary but sadly aren't as unnecessary as I'd like them to be.

HTML in emails is the biggest exercise in sending prayers and performing rain dances for voodoo Eldritch gods, in the *hopes* it'll work as expected.
