HELP PLEASE! Text and messages

Hi! , i'm having a little trouble with the messages, when i put some word with "Ñ" or "´" example : "Dueño" , "América" my text gone deleted, i need help pls,i don't know what to do in this 3 hours  D:

Switch your forum to UTF8

What is UTF8?,i don't understand so much

Go to admin>>maintenance>>forum maintenance>>database

Look for Convert the database and data to UTF-8 then click the "run task now" tab
