I've downloaded the package to my server (it's a local machine, no ftp upload required). In Browse Packages I click [ Install Mod ] .
I get the notice about permissions on mobiquo and directories under it.
I see "Test Successful" and click "Install Now".
The browser produces a white screen and sits there.
I reload the page and I get an error: "You already submitted this post! You might have accidentally double clicked or tried to refresh the page."

I check the logs and I get tons of stuff like this:

Etcetera.

Edit: meant to mention that the files/directories identified as missing in the log are, in fact not there. It seems the archive just isn't unpacking.  Is there a manual way to do it?

Permissions and ownership seem to be okay. The Tapatalk archive is owned by apache with all else owned by root, but permissions are 777.

[root@shuttle Packages]# ll

-rwxrwxrwx 1 root   root      324 Sep 24  2010 index.php*
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root   root        0 Apr 13  2008 installed.list*
-rwxrwxrwx 1 apache apache 491111 Jan  9 21:54 tapatalk_smf-2a_v4.4.1.zip*
drwxrwxrwx 3 root   root     4096 Jan  9 22:37 temp/

Changed that:

[root@shuttle Packages]# ll
total 492
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root   4096 Jan  9 22:40 backups/
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root    324 Sep 24  2010 index.php*
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root      0 Apr 13  2008 installed.list*
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 491111 Jan  9 21:54 tapatalk_smf-2a_v4.4.1.zip*
drwxrwxrwx 3 root root   4096 Jan  9 22:37 temp/
[root@shuttle Packages]#

Made no difference.

What am I missing here?  Why will this plugin not even unpack?

Help?

Thank you!

Okay, after a very long night, I have Tapatalk installed. Just one more thing:

Where does the API Key go? I can't find any place to put it and the instructions to "paste it in your forum AdminCP, Tapatalk Settings" makes no sense.  I can find no Tapatalk settings anywhere.

Thanks.

Hello!

You should really ask to Tapatalk... We usually don't provide support for Mods other than in the Mod support topic, but it's not published here, so you'll have to ask them.

Regards :)

Under configuration tab you should see tapatalk setting if the mod installed correctly. When you click it it opens to the screen that lets you input api and other settings.

If not installed correctly then this address may or may not work. But you can try:

yourdomain.com/index.php?action=admin;area=tapatalksettings;

Okay, I see nothing of the sort, so I have to conclude that the mod did not install correctly.

I appreciate the attention to this. I will start asking around in Tapatalk.

Again, thank you. I'm marking this "solved."
