Running a 2.1beta instance online - how to?

in the main folder where you see Settings.php create a file named Settings_bak.php.

Thanks, my immediate reaction was - a copy of the original one, or a blank file?
Then I read:

which does clearly state:
Before you can do the install there is one more thing that needs to be done: copy Settings.php and paste it in the same folder but named "Settings_bak.php".

I hadn't read that post, and clearly I should have done. 

Thank you both for your response, and patience. 

I won't mark this as solved, yet, until I actually get it up and running just in case there are any other issues.
