Hi,

is there a setting / plugin which will force the forum to send notification about any new posting / topic to the admin?
Currently I'm getting no notification if an user creates a new topic.

Welcome :).

Which version of SMF are you using?

you would have to sign up for notifications on every board, individually - in your own account.
There is no automated system to notify an admin of every new post...   because that would be insane on most sites

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

The most current one (2.1.4 I think)

I agree that would be 'insane' on many forums, but I get approx 0.5 posts per day... :-(

You mean 2.0.14.

As such I've moved the topic to the more appropriate area.

At any rate, Kindred's answer is the one you need.

And I feel your pain. I have a private forum and it's getting to the point where I'm going to have to make it public if I want to keep it going.

If yours isn't private, there are a number of things you can do to increase activity. There's a multitude of advice for that throughout this forum.
DO NOT pm me for support!
