Blank pages after install

Function name must be a string in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/smf/Sources/Load.php on line 142

The default PHP is 5.3 but cPanel has some work around that grants different domains different versions.  The version is from the hxxp:php.info [nonactive] file for the site.

I've read this was a problem with php 5.3 or below.  Not sure where to go from here.

I would appreciate any insight you can help me with.

ask your host to confirm which version you are using.

Isn't this automatically generated or is it possible that it's inaccurate.

given the error you are getting, i would not trust that.
