I've just installed a new installation, SMF 2.0.11 on a Bluehost account using the automatic install facility.

I go to login, using the correct username and password, but it says: That username does not exist.

Is there something I have missed, that is stopping me from logging in as admin.

I am definitely using the admin username and password that I set up.

When I try the forgotten password option, it says: "There are no usernames associated with that email." and I am using the email that I set it up with.

we dont recommend using auto installers.
you are best to install SMF manually.

Thank you for that.  I had begun to wonder if I should start again, and I will try it manually.

ABCDIAMOND , did you do a manual install ? I just had the same problem today and am also using Blue Host and had the same result.
