Chrome Messing With Smilies

CHROME has started to screw with smilies in SMF...

Try hitting RETURN twice... then putting a smiley.  It will kick that smiley up one line and add a space.

It's annoying as all heck and it doesn't happen with Firefox.

It just started with CHOME as of a few weeks ago.

Anyone know a work-a-round?

EXAMPLES:

Test 1:  I will click RETURN twice then add a smiley...
:)

Note that it kicked up to right below the text above rather than having that extra RETURN in there?  Also,  once you do that you get in to some strange mode where if you click smiley even after a single RETURN it will do the same and kick up to the line before... it does not do this behavior until after you click RETURN twice and add a smiley.   I will click RETURN right now and add a smiley... it will kick back up and add the smiley right after this text... watch... :)

See what I mean?

Firefox is works fine.  It seems to only affect Chrome... and it affects all SMF sites I've found thus far.

Well now poop.  If you force an update for CHROME (Settings/About) it fixes itself.
