Maintenance doesn't work
« on: June 30, 2017, 09:25:23 AM »
Maintenance mode fails to work.

Running 2.0.14, php7, SSL, have ticked 'Force cookies to be secure', theme is Shelf Life.

Checking box for Maintence is not saved. Check goes into box, disappears when saved. Same with Message to Display, it reverts to default text after clicking save.

Have cleared cache on browser, have no cache on SMF.

Suggestions?

is your Settings.php file able to be written to by the server? if not allow that and try again.

Do you mean upload the Settings.php file to my server?

No, in order to save that setting, SMF needs to be able to change the file for you...

ask your host to check the ownership on that file.

Ownership set to 1000. Running on VPS LAMP.

Well, it's in Maintence Mode now and I didn't do anything except go for a coffee and some lunch.

Must have been a power lunch.

Computers. Sheesh.
