How to increase the character limit for recent topics' name in index.php?

you do know that when you upgrade to the next release of SMF 2.1 all changes made will be overwritten right? you are not using SMF 2.1 on a live site right? we dont recommend doing that.

You mean do a thing now you'll have to redo at least several more times in the future, which might be different every time?

And also, using the beta on a production site is not recommended... especially for someone who does not have the technical knowledge to debug...

Changing the character limit involves changing code in several places and the database...
