Photobucket --- Convert hot linked to attachments?? can this be done for SMF?

Since forever users of my forum have posted images for Trip Reports and Fly Tying Step by Step.. the recent change in Photobucket has broken links to 1000s of post ...

Very sad situation for us and many other forums...

Looks like xeno has a cure... can this be done with SMF?

The problem is it can't fetch it remotely since photobucket has probably disabled remote links. Unless you can still copy the photobucket link and have it appear in the browser.

If you can then you would need to have a script written to fetch the pictures.
