SMF Mod Site - Stats?
« on: July 29, 2017, 09:22:51 AM »
SMF Mod Site - Stats.  Just curious about how it breaks down the figures to give the results.

I mean for example "Top 10 Most Popular Mods"  how does in conclude that these are in fact the top most popular mods, what's it based on?

i believe the stats on the mod site are reset weekly, the stats are based on number of mods downloaded.

Thanks illori.  I'm assuming then that the Top 10 Most Popular Mods gets reset weekly as you say, but is based on views not downloads.  The Top 10 Downloaded Mods doesn't get reset, and is based on downloads since day dot. Is that correct?

i'm wondering this too. How does it calculate the Top 10 Most Popular Mods, if it does by downloads per day which is most logical . Then an example from the Ad Management mod, its downloaded as i post this 243738 times from date 5 jan 2006 till now 12 okt 2018 = 4663 days , so 243738/4663 = avarage 52.2706 per day. On stats page here it shows avarage 5.8571.
if it is per week then(global) 52/7=7.42 that number does not come near 5.8571.
