trouble with akismet

hey all...I'm having trouble with akismet....here is the error I'm getting

PHP Fatal error:  Call to undefined method Akismet::setAuthor() in /home/chrisbar/public_html/forums/Sources/Subs-Akismet.php on line 62

and this is line 62...

$akismet->setAuthor($poster_options['name']);

I don't see the error...I hope someone can help
