Limit new users from sending spam PMs

I have a bit of an issue on an SMF with spammers signing up on the forum to then send PMs to the users.
I've spent a few hours looking for any mods, contacting plugin companies to no avail.

Is there any plugin/mod that will allow me to require an certain amount of posts before they are allowed to PM or exclude entire post-based groups from sending PMs?

Admin -> Manage Permissions -> Settings

Check "Enable permissions for post count based groups"

You can then set permissions on a post group level
