Show first half of posts that include a few sentences and image in recent post

Is there any mod that can show first half of posts including a few sentences and a image of the post in recent post.

Just like this website, they could show first half of posts which displayed at the center.

That's a portal option. A few questions:

a) Which portal are you using?

b) Would you mind using an SSI function?

Also, in the first picture, that is called "Recent Posts" -- I think most portals come with that.

Finally i found out. I just add a Board News ezBlock and it works now.
