How to change the format of time-stamps to relative dates

So, I'm not sure where to post this, and a couple searches on the forum didn't give results although I think I remember seeing something about this before. Maybe I don't know the right keywords to search.

I really like it when forum timestamps look like "about a day ago" or "a year ago" or "about a week ago" rather than the specific date and time. I haven't seen a way to do that in the admin section of the forum. Is there a way to make that change?
