Curve Theme - Display picture after main menu buttons

Hi

Is there a way in the curve theme to display a centred picture just below the menu buttons ? (Home,Help,Search,Profile,My Messages,Calendar,Gallery,Members,Logout). I would also like to make it so that when a user clicks on the picture i can link it to a word document.

Don't have time to try it right now, but you should be able to add a <div> in index.template.php below the menu template here -

I'm a complete Noob when i comes to this, could you expand on that when you get a moment ?

What should i actually add to point the code at my image ? And how to i make it so when its clicked on it links to a word document on my server as well ?
