SMF 2.0.14 -> 2.0.15 Undefined index: db_get_engine in Subs-Admin

Hello,

i'm getting the following error when I want to access the administrator index page:

8: Undefined index: db_get_engine
File: ...../Sources/Subs-Admin.php
Line: 80

I've already found a topic which describes the exact same problem, but the solution does not work for me because I do not have the mysqli package installed.

When did this start to occur, was it after an update or out of the blue?
