Simultaneous http and https
« on: December 26, 2017, 07:55:25 PM »
I did not know that my site can be accessed by both http and https URL. I think this is hurting SEO? I plan to move to https, disable http across all sites in the VPS. How to do it? Or maybe I will just focus first on converting an SMF site to https.

If you want to prevent http access, you will need a redirect.

Step by step instructions may be found here.  This will help you make sure you've covered all the bases:

Address the process rather than the outcome.  Then, the outcome becomes more likely.   - Fripp

I'll just go ahead and mark this topic solved, as that topic shawnb61 linked to seems to have it all. :)
If you do feel like returning to this post though, feel free to mark it unsolved again and let us know.
