Well the short reply is that I changed my email address to my Outlook.JP address and never got any validation email. I was locked out and no way to recover.
But I think some admin took pity on me after I sent an email to info@ and I'm now back on the forum!
My only problem now is I would like to change my username (display name) to my name in Japanese but those mistaken accounts will block that...
Perhaps my nice admin deleted the accounts, or if not I wonder if SMF has a policy of deleting accounts awaiting activation If my other ac****** with イチカ is purged then I can change my display name. If not I guess Ill just have to live with it and move on. Perhaps I can find a dffferent translaton that will be just as gobeod or maybe even better.
Mean time I worked an all night shift and want to get to bed.
My only final question is, does SMF staff periodaclly delete unvalidated accounts, and if so what is the schedule?
