Getting this Database error message

Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

Checked w/ server guys... it's not busy ~ and the non-SMF portion of my website is fully functional.

Any idea why I can't connect to the database?  I haven't made any changes ~ and since I can't actually see the forum (from the admin side) ~ I have no idea how to proceed.

(I am running 2.0 ~~~~ I think.  Ican't access the forum, so I can't say for certain).

Definitely it is because of the connection between the database. You might want to check the details given in Settings.php, make sure you've given a valid pass, db and user.

Please, let's stay in one topic OK. :)

After years of smooth running, I get this error:
A Finnish Support Specialist
Happily running multiple SMF 2.0 installations.

How you can help SMF

Therefore, you should only allow people that you trust, implicitly, to have such access." -Douglas
