How to adjust what is "recent" in SimplePortal?

I have a few blocks on my SimplePortal homepage that display various "recent" items.

If there's little activity in one of those forums I've noticed that SimplePortal removes the topics after a while (a month?).

Is there a way to stop SimplePortal doing this, and if yes, how and where?

you really need to post in the simple portal support topic or forum for further assistance.

Sorry, I thought "Portals, Bridges, and Integrations" was the right Board for this.
