:) I have also need so long time to get https half way working, but still need help.

Themes/Reseller/images/expand.gif caused mixed-content and the https SSL-Icon is not green. Yes, only because this small gif is loaded.

The source code show: srcCollapsed: smf_images_url + '/expand.gif',
Have try to delete this from the BoardIndex.template.php "srcCollapsed: smf_images_url + '/expand.gif'," but than the index-page, forum is down.

The same error comes when I change to the default SMF themes. Thank you.

I get all times the same results, with Reseller or the default SMF themes:

Your webserver is forcing the use of SSL.

Your SSL Certificate is installed correctly.

Mixed Content - Errors:

An image with an insecure url of "http://.........../expand.gif" was loaded on line: 749.
This URL will need to be updated to use a secure URL for your padlock to return.

My question is: How can I get rid of this Collapsed/expand the header Menu ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Did you run Repair_settings.php, and change all your URL's to https ?

helpplease

Thanks for your replay.

Yes, I have used the Repair_settings.php, but this one is not changed.  :(

Somewhere in one SMF file there is a string for this "expand.gif", but where?
I just need to convert thisstring to https and I'm sure that the developer know where the string is.

Firefox show this also:
Loading mixed (insecure) display content "/images/expand.gif" on a secure page

the error indicates that the images URL for your theme is not correctly set to https

As I said, yes...

And it must be somewhere in the script.js, (695:2). default/scripts >script.js.
I have look on this script.js but there is nothing that I sse regarding the loading of this "expand.gif"

Kindred

it is not in script.js or in any other source file.

image locations are not hard coded. they are determined and filled by SETTINGS. So, when I say that your images directory is wrong, that means that the SETTING for the image directory is wrong.

Thanks @Kindred,

I have checked and for the image directory all is set to https.

That seems to be logical even to me. They are determined and filled by settings, so where can I change all this. Means that this small picture "expand.gif" will not show on the Forum Index page? (see screenshot below).

Believe it or not! This little picture brake (in my case) the SSL   :-[

Again, thanks for your time  :)

Kindred is right, that should not be an issue.
smf_images_url is based on settings, not a hard coded address.

Can you give an url to see this live?

I'm disappoint.
I thought to find here some experts and developers of SMF. Well it appers that they are not here.
How come that no one here can explain how to remove the Shrink or Expand the header from SMF? Still can't believe that nobody actually know how to do it.
Google force all web traffic to use HTTPS, websites to be mobile friendly and more to come and this is bad if you are not an expert programmer!
I give it up.

Please... There have been many people offering to help - and only asking for an url to see what is happening.
Could you give that, so we are able to help?

SMF 2.1.4 / TP 2.2.2

No you did not. If you asked that, you would have been given a different answer.

If that is what you are actually asking, then please attach your theme's BoardIndex.template.php -
even though usually questions regarding custom themes are best presented to the theme author.
Reseller is not a theme released by Simple Machines.

You didn't even read my posting!! The same error comes when I change to the default SMF themes!

given that it does not happen here when we use the default theme, means something has changed it on your forum to have this issue. no one else has reported this so it is specific to something you have done or installed.

Kindred

somehow, he has the wrong smf images URL defined...   that's his problem.

Of course, despite asking several dozen times - we have not seen an actual URL to his site....   and that's what we need to help him further debug the issue (which as has been pointed out, can not be duplicated on ANY other site and thus is something specific to his instance)
