PHPSESSID in url, and failure to save cookies

I am not sure what i may have done. i had this before, but i don't remember how i fixed it.
my site is: tjfserver dot ddns dot net
(can't post URLs, apparently)

normally, when i login the php session is not in the URL, and it saves cookies from one browser session to the next.
i have tried another browser to rule out a browser issue.

"Allow Stat Collection" was checked. i unchecked it, and whatever the relation, SMF works correctly now.
