Hello!
Please tell me why when moving to https I stop playing a lot of games SWF which are placed on my site using the code and played earlier from other sites.

Kindred

You would have to update the mod that you are using so that it's correctly using https.

Also, you posted I'm the wrong area (moved)

If swf files load from http sources, I'll have error with mixed content. Mixed content - when you try to load elements from http on https-pages. You must rewrite all sources of swf from http to https. If you use CloudFlare, you can enable "Automatically https rewrites" option on it, and it rewrites it automatically for you.

I think the replies above explain this issue pretty well. Is there something that we can help you further with, or are we ready to mark this solved?

Hi! After 3 years, I come back to you with a similar question. Is swf dead forever? On my site there are still more than 1000 of the most popular games in this format and they do not work at all in Google Chrome. I am at a loss, since there are games that the developer has not yet translated into the HTML5 format and, judging by everyone, is not going to. Why? These games brought both the developer and all the websites where they were hosted a good income. Why are they not being converted into a new format? But the main question is, can I independently convert old games from SWF format to HTML5 format without having the source code of the game? Thanks.

Deaks

as flash is no longer around I would say SWF files are dead forever, their are work arounds but unsure how they would work.  As for conversion that is up tp authors of these games but personally think its unlikely.  Sorry.

Take a look at this: Ruffle

You can add it to most browsers instead of your website if you wish. The site tells you how to do both.

Flash officially went eol end of year, Adobe was unable to resolve persistent security problems so they dumped it.  There are Flash plugins for most browsers, I believe Chrome has one built in.  Users would have to know to enable it.
