Moderator Permissions

I have two types of boards: Default and Read Only.
I changed the Moderator permissions to take away all the Polls related permissions.
When I look at the Default boards, the moderator does not have the polls permissions as expected.  However, when I look at the Read Only boards, the moderator has all the polls permissions.
Can anyone explain to me why the moderator's permissions are different on the the two board types?  Thanks.

Because you have to change the settings for moderators in the read only permissions profile.

Each profile can and does use a completely separate permissions set

you cannot edit the read only permission profile. you need to create a new permission profile with the permission you want and apply it to that board.
